Are there any sales targets ?
No, absolutely not. You decide when you work and how much you would like to earn. We do however, offer fun incentives from time to time, for example jewellery from Tiffany's or vouchers for top sales agents. We also regularly run competitions for our agents.
Do I get a discount on the toys I buy for my children ?
Yes, you place orders for yourself just the same as you would for a customer, and receive discounts depending on the total amount your combined order comes to.
How many parties do I need to have ?
As many as you want to! We don't stipulate that you have to do a certain amount of parties. You don't even have to do parties if you prefer to sell just using the catalogues or maybe you prefer selling at local fetes and fairs. We do however find that parties generate good sales and the minimum outlay means your profits are higher.
How do I get started ?
All you have to do is either order a starter pack online or contact us to chat more about becoming an agent. Starter packs start from as little as £9.99. The Party Pack is £99.99. Find out more here.
Can I buy the party pack later if I decide to start with just the catalogues first ?
Yes, you can start from as little as £9.99 which gives you enough catalogues and order forms to start taking orders. If you feel there's potential for toy parties in your area, then either upgrade to the Party Pack or buy a selection of toys you like (or your little one likes!) which you can then display and demonstrate at parties and events.

Do I have to pay for the host offer or anything towards the host offer ?
We give our representatives Agent Rewards depending on sales levels. These toys can then be used as host incentives or you can tailor your own host offers to suit each customer‚ and keep the Agent Rewards yourself. If you want to offer your customers extras like a bottle of wine or chocolates to friends who book parties‚ that's up to you.
What are the commission rates ?
We do not pay commission as such but give you a discount. Your customers pay you, then you place the order online and receive the difference. This means you receive your payment immediately, you do not have to wait to be paid commission.
Discounts start from 10% for orders under £100, then go up to 15% off all orders between £100 and £200. Orders over £200 receive a 20% discount.
Do I get any training and support ?
Yes‚ we have an online forum and a Facebook group where all our agents get together and chat. They share ideas and tips plus we pass on any events or party requests to our agents on the forum. You are not required to attend meetings or training events but you can of course meet up with other agents who are near you, and share event together and help each other out. We're a very friendly bunch and believe in working together. You can also contact us at head office at any time for help and support.
Are there any Tish Tash Toys agents near me already ?
It's unlikely there are many agents in your immediate area as we only have around 150 agents across the whole UK. We also have an ethos of working together rather than being in competition with any agents nearby. How often does a new catalogue come out and can I buy them in bulk ?
We bring out a new catalogue once a year. The 2010 catalogue came out in September 2009. Extra catalogues cost 75p each but we regularly offer our agents reductions when they invest in a larger pack of catalogues.
Is there a minimum amount I have to order ?
There is no minimum amount you have to order. Your postage is free on orders over £70. Postage of £4.95 is charged on orders below this amount.
Is there an age limit ?
Yes, you will need to be 18 years old or over.
Can I sell on ebay or at boot sales ?
No, you can't sell on auction sites or at boot sales. Please click here to see our terms and conditions for more details.
Are agents only busy at Christmas ?
No, our agents sell toys all year round. The busiest time of year is autumn although our January and summer sales can also be a great time to take orders. Once you have built up a local customer base, you will find people come to you to place orders regularly.
Am I employed or self-employed as an agent ?
You are not employed by Tish Tash Toys. We advise you to see the www.hmrc.gov.uk website and declare your earnings. This may mean you need to register as self-employed.
Do I get a bonus if I recruit a new agent ?
We offer a £10 voucher for every person you recommend who then signs up as an agent.
